Staff

  • Senior Pastor: Marc Andresen
  • My love for music started early in life and has continued throughout my lifetime, receiving a bachelor's degree in music from San Diego State University in 1972. Soon after graduation, opportunities and love for Church/Christian ministry developed, so in pursuit of this, I received a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1977. Ministry then followed for a year in Monterey, California, for two years with Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship, and then 10 years at Columbia Presbyterian Church in the gold country of California.
I have been pastor at Calvin since March of 1990. I am as excited today to be with this church as I was the day I arrived. This is an endorsement for the character of this church. This is a family of Christ-followers who know how to love one another.
I have been married since 1977 and have a son and daughter, each in their 20's.
A big piece of me was formed by a college-based trip around the world in 1970. Seeing 14 countries, with such diversity of language, culture, and geography gave me a heart and vision for world-wide ministry.
  • Pastor of Discipleship: Craig Kulonis
  • I have been in pastoral ministry for about 15 years. I received my Bachelor of Theology Degree from Life Pacific College in 1993 and became an ordained pastor with the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Movement in 1995. My wife Christi and I came to Corvallis and planted a Vineyard Church in 1996 and pastored that church until May of 2003. Shortly after resigning from the Corvallis Vineyard, I went on staff part-time with Westside Community Church. At that time I also began working for the Corvallis School District delivering food to the local schools. The part-time pastor position at Westside ended after a year and I continued to work at the school district. I came on staff as an interim pastor at Calvin for 1 year in 2007. After the one year interim position I was approached with the opportunity to come on staff as Pastor of Discipleship at Calvin which I gladly accepted. My wife Christi and I have been married 15 years and have two children Grace, twelve years old, and Isaac, 11 years old. We are thankful for this door we believe God has opened for us to serve Him and the people of Calvin Presbyterian Church.
  • Director of Student Ministries: David Steenhoek
  • I graduated from Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa with an AA in Liberal Arts. I took a year off of school before I attended Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois where I majored in Theology and Church & Ministry Leadership and minored in Sociology. After I graduated with a BA, Melissa and I moved back to Iowa for a year before we accepted a job in Corvallis, Oregon in December 2006 at Calvin Presbyterian Church. We have been here since and growing more and more in love with this church and Oregon.
  • Office Manager: Kim Nelson
  • I have been on staff at Calvin since August 2002. My job has evolved from general secretarial duties to include bookkeeping and coordinating the building schedule. I work with a wonderful group of people, both staff and Calvin family. I am in the unusual circumstance of attending another church while working here at Calvin; I feel I am truly blessed to have two church families. I have been married to my husband Dan for 21 years and we have a daughter Jordan, 13. After several career moves in California, we settled in Corvallis in 1998 and feel we are home.
  • Parish Nurse: Judy Kraft
  • As the Parish Nurse, I am involved in the Health Ministry here at Calvin. I graduated from California State University in Los Angeles and have a Masters in Nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. When I retired from teaching nursing at Linn-Benton Community College, I was looking for a way to use my nursing skills in ministry. A class in Parish Nursing was available and proved to be just what I wanted. Please let me know if you are dealing with a health problem and need support.
  • Worship Coordinator: Rachel Eby
  • Rachel Eby has served as Calvin's Worship Coordinator since 2004. She has been involved with church music and worship since she first started singing solos in church as a little girl. Rachel graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA, with a degree in Liberal Studies and a Credential for Elementary Education. She participated in the College Choir and Chamber Singers, and there at Westmont she met her husband, Tim. She moved back to her native Oregon in 2001, and joined Calvin Presbyterian Church. Rachel loves to sing and play piano, and she currently teaches piano, as well. She and Tim have two children, Anna and Benjamin.
